Honoring Veterans Day this year, United Spinal Association’s VetsFirst program proudly joins with the World Institute on Disability (WID) to give veterans direct, personalized support, through a pilot project that connects users of the Vets101 site with the experts at Ask VetsFirst.
“VetsFirst is delighted to continue our partnership with WID. We’re excited for the opportunity to reach more veterans in need of assistance with VA benefits and services through our Ask VetsFirst portal, which currently receives approximately 100 questions online per month,” said Heather Ansley, MSW, VP VetsFirst.
This project allows vets to get one-on-one help and answers to their questions about complex veterans benefits and services. Vets101 users can write directly to experts at Ask VetsFirst through links on Vets101. Ask VetsFirst online forms prompt the user to ask questions and will inform users on the Ask VetsFirst Knowledge Books, which are in-depth descriptions of a wide range of veterans benefits and services. This level of custom information empowers vets to plan for work and transition to civilian jobs.
Vets101 offers free career planning tools and information to make it easier for veterans to navigate career and finance decisions.
